It’s a day of running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I’ve got a recording session followed by a trek to get my car’s alignment fixed. Then it’s off to a writing session to put some more touches on a song I’ve been writing with a new co-writer.
The car is doing so much better now. It’s a joy to have the AC working since the heat is about to hit.
I gotta get my move on…
The tune for today is a harkening back to the idea of Fallen Friday.
Being that I’ve been on a car kick for a couple of days, I almost feel like I’d belong to a car club. But I don’t. Plus the car that I’m driving is not likely the kind that would harken to images of a car club that this song is about. It’s from an era long before my time. Lots of vocal harmonies. Simple structures. Story telling words. It’s a hallmark of The Beach Boys and their sound.
