If there is one thing about Southern CA, it’s the fact that it has a short season of cool. The heat is on the rise again, right after a crazy cold snap. I’m not complaining. It makes for a good time to start wearing shorts again.
It’s going to be a fun filled day of meeting friends and heading out to a birthday party so let me get to the music.
Being that the heat is coming round and Valentines is around the corner I’m gonna go for a funky tune by the legendary James Brown, Bodyheat. It’s the perfect thing for all the lovers out there. We all need a little bodyheat in our lives.
What can I say, it’s all about the funk. Every little part of the music is geared to help the whole. That’s one thing I really appreciate about funk bands. When each player is geared to their own little part and keeps it moving like a well-oiled machine, it makes for some really great music.
