While I haven’t been making vast announcements about it, I have been doing a bit of a workout regimen that is fairly popular right now. When I visit with friends and mention it, they end up saying they know someone else that is doing it too and really loves it. I can’t profess an all out love, but I can say that it does make me feel a lot better. Additionally I think it helps that I do a lot of my own cooking and eat quite healthy a vast majority of the time.
To that end I know that I have some ideas of how to translate that into helping others. Eventually when I’m done with the program, I will think about how I ultimately feel about it and decide if I’ll actually pursue sharing the experience.
I did skip a day yesterday. Partially due to the fact that I didn’t feel 100% right working out yesterday morning. In the afternoon, I felt better however I ended up going for a mountain bike ride with another friend [who incidentally has completed the program and is on to something more intense]. After the bike ride I did some cleaning up around the house and then made dinner. By that time I wasn’t sure I wanted to get all hyped up again with a workout late at night before bed.
This morning I got up and did the workout. Chock full of sweat. Now I’m contemplating on doing the workout that would have been this morning (had I done the one from yesterday) later this evening. I may very well do it. Provided I’m not feeling wiped out. I’ve started with a kick ass breakfast. So long as I follow with a stellar lunch I should be good to go this evening. We’ll see.
In the meantime, I need to finish up one more track to complete a CD of tracks I’m calling Trailer Tracks for my library. Nine done. One to go. Which means tomorrow I’ll be making more calls to trailer houses. While I didn’t intend to get this many this quick, I’m not hating that I did. It’s been a lot of fun and I’ll likely do even more.
Today I’ll run with an artist who calls herself Jennings. She has a song called The Darkness. Since some of the trailer stuff I’ve been doing has a super epic and dark overtone I figured this would fit great. It also fits the play on words I chose for today’s post title. I’m liking the moving nature of the song. There’s a push and a pull going on in there that is got a good feel to it. Her voice is very full as well. I can’t place a finger on if I hear another vocalist in her voice, but I do feel she’s got a lot of girth to her voice, along with a nice range.
Oooh, I can kinda get the vibe of Tori Amos in there. But that’s only a dash.
I could hear this song as either part of a montage or a ending credit sequence in a movie. That’s a good thing. At least it is to me.
Enjoy your day and may it be coming out of the darkness.
