If there is something that makes a person happier it would be when someone they like likes and wants them back. There’s no doubt we all have a driving need to be wanted and/or needed. One thing that can be hard is to admit when you want someone. Once you put it out there, you can’t really do much more. It then becomes a matter of if the other person feels the same vibe. Last night had me opening up to someone like I’ve never really done before. I had to put it out there.
Now that it’s out there, I have to move along and get back to being the normal fun and hard working bloke I usually am. Which means I can’t regret what was said and can only wait and see if the other party is able to process and meet me there. It would be amazing if it results in the meeting of the minds and spirit.
The ultimate song about wanting and being wanted is I Want You To Want Me by Cheap Trick. The lyrics put it out there about as simply as can be. It’s a classic song. Hard rockin’ guitar, snappin drums, thick thumpin’ bass, and a vocal skippin across a clear lake like a pristine bell. If there is one thing about Cheap Trick its that Robin Zander has an amazing voice for rock. I don’t think I’ve ever heard him sing a bum note. That’s a hard feat to accomplish.
If you don’t have this song – you have to change that. Time to get it now!
