The trench digging has begun.
Before the storm abates, a little more weather is expected and this morning was definitely something a little out of the ordinary. I do admire the persistence of the party involved. That is something I have to admire. It reminds me of me. However, in the case of the issue at hand – I have the right of way and unfortunately the party pushing to get something from me has been caught in the crossfire.
I’m obviously sounding a little cryptic today. All will come to bear at some point, most likely a couple of weeks from now I will post about it by name.
But due to the nature that some people like a fight or a battle, I’m gonna roll with an old party hit called Love is a Battlefield by Pat Benatar. I get it, or need to say that my thing isn’t about a relationship with someone else. So the nomer of love in this song isn’t my battle.
In watching the video and listening to the song, that’s an era that had so much change in music. Slinky thin guitar chords, chunky rhythms, and lots of effects are noticeable here. Keyboard sounds that are clearly dated by todays means. But what stands out in this song is the vocal and the message. Pat had, or probably still has one of the greatest female voices in rock.
Probably why this song still gets played at parties and people instantly start singing along with it.
Go forth and fight for what you believe in.
