I was hoping to have some witty quip about knowing the origin of today’s title. Instead, I attempted to do a little digging on the internet and came up short. Bummer. I do know that I woke up not feeling 100% and the real drag is that it’s insanely amazing weatherwise outside. Sunny, warm and not a cloud in the sky. I’d really like to not be in the studio working on music edits.
Because I’m in a rush to get to the task at hand rather than procrastinate, which is what I feel like I’m doing right now.
Here’s a really cool little piece of music that came to my attention recently. It’s by a composer who goes by Ludovico Einaudi. The piece is called Nightbook. I really like the forward movement in it. The constant pulse that is driven at different times via different instruments. I also really dig how it builds and flows thru the length of the song. It’s almost like a classical remix of a pop song or something in how it’s all working.
It’s the kind of music that when I come across something like this from someone I don’t know about it brings a smile to my face and makes me realize there is still fun music being created that sounds like it’s done for no other reason than to enjoy the process of performing the music. That’s a beautiful thing.
Go explore Ludovico now!
