Now that I’ve got the library ready for the initial deals, I’ve been going thru lots of little tidbits of music I’ve got laying around. It’s a bit overwhelming going thru all this music and thinking, damn I wrote all this?!? A lot of it is very good for a library. Some of it is well written but poorly recorded so I’m going to be re-recording some things to get them ready for the library.
Today is also going to be filled with plowing thru all the cards and contacts I met at NAMM. Reaching out and creating the relationships. Maintaining the network so to speak.
Of course the whole rain thing is creating a desire to stay in the studio as well. Very very wet.
I’ve come across a tune that reminds me of some old school type thing. Maybe a Van Morrison kinda vibe only it’s from a guy who more today. It’s a perfect thing for a little pick me up as the rain comes down and the idea of lots of work is coming down.
I like the upbeat springy vibe. The bouncy nature of the guitar part and the energetic and gravely tone in the singers voice really help to propel this song. Drums are there but not overpowering the song which a great thing. There’s loosey goosey feel that isn’t harming the song, instead it’s adding a character that I really like.
What better than to keep on keepin on when you get into the swing of work and weather. Don’t you agree?
Thank you so much for playing Every Boy! It was so great to hear it!!!
