Outstanding!
That’s would I’d have to say about this bailout bullshit while my tongue is firmly planted in my cheek. Can anyone explain why it was a good idea for the government to take money it doesn’t have to squander? I never agreed with it in the first place. Now they’ve done two ‘bailouts’ including giving money to corporations that are proving to be arrogant and in need of being slapped down for wasting money before, and now wasting tax payer money.
And discussions are starting for a third bailout?!? How stupid are we as a country that so many people believe this is a good idea?
It’s worse than a B horror movie. Yup, it’s lo-grade politics to provide fear relief after a government has spent 7+ years installing as much fear as they possibly could. Dumb, dumb, dumb. When it’s all over on November 5th something is going to bust. Then it will keep on busting. What happened to the days of “The only thing we have to fear… is… Fear itself.”? Since we’re gonna be getting busted, who is feeling satisfied?
That there is the theme for today’s choice. Money and being satisfied. Thank to Paul Jeffery who is putting a bit of classic rock in his music for today’s world. It’s hard to say if this is a style that will come back into the forefront but at least Paul is doing it well. I’m instantly thinking of bands like Pink Floyd and Gary Moore with his sound. A darker blues with a soaring guitar. Bluesy and thick.
The rhythm section is pumping out a steady groove of 12/4 pulsed in 4. That’s one of my favorite style of grooves. I’ve used it several times for songs. Always seems to give a nice slow moving flow which allows for easy swaying and finding smaller quick rhythmic bits inside of each beat. There’s a few really nice chord changes that stray from the totally predictable. I like that. The guitar is a classic sound from another era, and it fits right in like it should.
Doh, there it is, I remembered another band that it reminds me of and that is The Eagles. There’s a chord change there that is very reminiscent of The Eagles. Even Paul’s vocal style is taking elements from say Don Henley. Not a bad thing to get compared to, all those bands and artists had huge careers before I knew what music was.
Though it’s tough to part with some money right now for tunes, I’d say it’s a good idea to support Paul. Do it!
Thank you very much for your kind words! It’s deeply appreciated.
You’re welcome Paul. Thanks for putting out some music I could post for others to connect with.
