Hello…
Is there static on this line? I could have sworn I was staying on top of this shit. But it seems today got the better of me. So I’m phoning this Single of the Day in. The only detail I’ll really go into is, I’m finishing up the new version of my official website. I’m roughly 2/3 of the way done. Actually the look is pretty much 90% done. Then there’s some code stuff I’m still working through on two of the pages. Plus there’s a whole new media experience. I’m still working on some of that code too.
Thus I was pretty much tied up trying out different things and learning. The new version of the website is using some cool technology to keep it hip. Unfortunately new technology doesn’t always play nice. I’m attempting to get the site to work in at least the following browsers: Safari, Firefox, and Opera. As much as Internet Explorer is used, I’m not going to provide full support to the site for it. Mostly because I’m using a better graphic format that hasn’t been introduced until I.E. 7. I also won’t hack apart or patch perfectly good CSS and Code just for I.E. So while IE users will be able to browse the site – it won’t look as intended.
I’m betting most people don’t care. But as an artist, I do.
The thing that really got me about this song is how the intro sounds like it’s being played through an old telephone. Then gradually it blossoms into full stereo. I liked the idea so much I stole it for a song of mine called Cycle. I have a demo in my clubhouse. It’s a free mp3 to people who sign up on my e-mail list.
Also, one can’t go wrong with an ELO song. Full rich harmonies. Amazing production. Jeff Lynn kicks ass! I know he’s pushed over the hill as a rockstar, but he still deserves support. If you don’t own any ELO, you best buy it now. You will be floored by the lush experience you will hear.
(** Disclaimer: If ELO’s label decides to grace me with a gloomy telephone call, I’ll hang the audio out to dry away from the server. The post will remain to show my affinity for ELO. **)
