Well, I’m on par with rolling out one of my songs roughly every 3rd week. I’m kinda surprised I’ve made this far already with this idea. I certainly hope you’ve been finding some very cool music that you haven’t heard before. I also would think that you’d be spending money on owning it, that would be a fantastic thing.
Over the weekend I spend a good deal of time cleaning up my studio. I’m going to be unloading some items on Ebay as well. What I did do is gather up a bunch of things that had been sitting around for an extremely long time and put them in the trash. It wasn’t easy because it was stuff that I figured I’d auction off someday due to fame. But with this transition of thinking I’m not going to be continuing with music I’ve decided to “clean house”. Thus the choice of this song. I’m really wondering what the hell I’ve been doing for the past few years. Putting so much faith into a talent that translates litterally to nothing if people won’t actually part with money to own it. Thus I feel like there’s a few years of life that I’ve lost and obviously I won’t get it back.
The song itself I wrote while I was transitioning in music from having a band to going solo. I wasn’t happy doing it at that time. Though in the end it worked out for while, until now that is. I probably need to go back and put Eclipse on infinite re-play. Part of the issue is also that I feel like I’ve played every angle I could think of. It certainly isn’t for a lack of creativity or methods to have tried. It’s kinda like with Phil Helmouth (I think that’s how his name is spelled), he’s a famous poker player that claims if luck weren’t involved – he’d win everytime. Well, you have THE dominant hand and still lose. Just like there are extremely talented musicians you haven’t heard of. That’s partly why I’m doing this blog. To hopefully shed some exposure to those like myself that really need it.
Do me a favor, buy this song. Better yet, buy several of the CDs and give it as a gift to your family and friends (you do get a discount for buying multiple copies).
