I guess I’ve made it two for two. I’m thinking you haven’t likely heard Mary, even though she has won several awards for her music. One of them being the infamous John Lennon Song Writing Contest. Mary has an incredible knack for creating an indepth image in her lyrics. This particular song is about being a quirky nut of a person but still wanting that special someone to love them.
I’m willing to bet that you or someone you know at a some point or another do things quirky that if someone else were to find out about it, it’d probably make them think twice about you. C’mon, you know you do. If not, then you’re too perfect for me. Expecting me to share something quirky about myself right now? Heh, think again there. I want you coming back, not running for the virtual hills.
I’ve had the chance to have a few of those late night after playing eat sessions with a bunch of artists including Mary. I don’t know how old she is, as you’re never supposed to ask that question to a girl. However, I do know that she is very much playing the innocent little girl thing to a ‘T’. It’s generally impossible to know what she’s thinking, even when she tells you. I guess that’s reserved for her songs. She’s extremely sweet and gracious. And when you’re telling her about a fellow artist you find attractive she’ll attempt to hook you up. It’s like that grade school mentality of ‘Ooohh, he/she really likes you and I think you’d make a cute couple.’ It’s a good thing she doesn’t know that I don’t own a TV because she’d probably find that to be a deal breaker for, oh shit. I just revealed one of my quirks.
Being a Sunday’s Child means she’s not available on iTunes. However you can buy her music at her website or at CD Baby.com. The whole album is full of catchy quirky songs. Get it now!
