The phrase of the day is: It’s only rock and roll and we like it.
Turns out that Apple has an event going on today that has been speculated as an announcement of new iPods, an iPad and other various things in regards to Apple and it’s goings on. I’m betting on the fact that iTunes will get an update. I know I’m one of those Apple geeks that likes to keep on the up and up with it. Thus I’ll be paying attention to announcements as it’s happening.
In the meantime I’ve got a song mix to review and make some minor tweaks. I like to do a mix then sit on it for a day and then listen later to see if anything really out of wack in terms of an instrument or level that isn’t gelling. I’ve got four versions of the song to output and then I’ll need to shoot it off to the co-writer and our contact for the TV show. Fun stuff that I need to get to.
Getting on with the music, I’ve got a little ditty by a group called She Swings, She Sways. Rather unique name for a group. With a different kind of name like that you can expect it to be a little eclectic in nature. Despite the eclectic nature of the name the music is familiar but unique. There are elements to this song that remind me of a Rolling Stones tune.
I really like the acoustic nature of the song. I also like the upbeat feeling of it too. As well I like the raw nature of what’s going on. The backing vocals that shoot in while are a little out of place in terms of the continuity of the sound add that element of it needed to be there. Thus it makes it work.
What I Wouldn’t Do is something we all go thru at some point whether it’s for someone, or for some thing.
For me today it’s going to be a mix, and the Apple thing. How about you?
