The week is still rolling along. I got a call yesterday about the bus and it looks like it’s going to a new owner, but I won’t know until I have that cash in my hand. I should be hearing about more edits to the film trailer today. And I’m feverishly working on learning songs for a show tomorrow night. Not to mention that I got an email this morning to go to a networking thing tonight. Along with a call I got yesterday to play a show tonight as well.
So many things. So many things. Sometimes it feels like I need two of me.
One piece of news that I’m waiting on still hasn’t come thru and that’s like bogie for the course and annoying. I really want that issue resolved and maybe when there is resolution I will let it out.
In the meantime lets get to some music…
Since I’m thinking about something I Tweeted (Under promise, over deliver. A motto I ask many more people and businesses to adhere to), I figure it would be good to get that going with the idea of showing action over saying things. In looking that up in my music library I came across Rush. They have a song about that very concept and it’s called Show Don’t Tell.
Rush is notorious for complex music. Complex music that still retains a sense of commercialism. Slamming guitars, slippery bass lines and of course the intricate drumming. It’s a wonder how they end up pulling a lot of their music off live. I’ve seen them do it a few times. It’s a great show. I’m not a fan of 100% of the music they’ve done but I do have a lot of their CDs. Lots of great music and they do have a wide range of sounds since they evolved thru time. Much like any great band. It’s a big catalog to explore.
