There are times when things get weird. Right now one would have to be hidden under a rock to see that there isn’t a financial rundown/panic going on. Then a newer friend of mine is in the process of running themselves into the ground by taking on too much. Doing too many things, not having enough time, and not getting sleep to get it all done. For me personally I’ve got battery issues. My lappy in the last couple of weeks has been unable to be tethered for any length of time any more. My cell phone is no longer able to keep a charge for more than a day and a half, sometimes, not even half a day (I don’t have an iPhone yet).
Maybe my cell phone is upset that I’m planning on getting an iPhone and wants me to know what it’s like in terms of battery use. I won’t say that my lappy is upset about anything. It’s probably tired of me tapping out blog posts, song lyrics and listening to so much music and watching so many movies. It’s probably having a hard time keeping up with me. 🙂
I took my lappy in to the Apple store to see if it was the OS or if the battery itself was an issue. Turns out the battery is ‘consumed’. That means it’s past it’s useful life and is no longer capable of holding a charge. DUH! I could had told them that. But they had some sort of battery test that showed it. Unlike the system profiler that claims the battery is good. I’ll head back in on Monday to go pick up a battery for the lappy cause it’s gotta have juice.
With all the mess going on with things falling apart it would be nice to relax, get the head on straight, and pick up the pieces. This is where today’s pick by Josh Charles comes into play. Josh has a nice mellow vibe, heavy on the swing. The type of tune that works very well for a fall afternoon sitting in a yard sippin on beverage. I’m not sure how much I would agree with blaming someone else for busting me into pieces in love, but I know it’s a common thing for people to do. The writing group I’m in had a chat session where one person has a roommate that is going thru a hard time in love. Said roommate is constantly looking for love and making not so great choices in the process (as a lot of us do), but it gets compounded by the issue that they apparently have a negative view of things. Tough thing to do, get positive.
The message in Josh’s tune is essentially that, being positive in putting one’s life back together. Pretty much what the country could use right now. But it needs to break into pieces. I suppose that could be helped if every voter ended up voting out all of the incumbent politicians. One thing that would really help fix all this mess is to let politicians be reminded that they’re supposed to serve the people, not the corporations. The only way to do that is to stop voting ineffective politicians back into office.
It could help to have a theme like Josh’s to reign in the overly aggressive American attitude. Relax, swing a little, and enjoy life. What better vibe is there to have in the world? Don’t ya agree? Go support Josh.
