Nothing like missing a post and having to go back to fill it in. It’s probably a combination of things, but the big one is a feeling of something not being right in the world. I kinda felt like I was floating thru the day in a daze. Like it was watching my life from a distance but thru my eyes. A very odd sense indeed.
Even more out of wack is getting hired to sing a comedy piece for a movie trailer. Especially when the studio machine is out of the office getting a thorough physical on the tech bench at Apple. Laptop to the rescue. Good thing I can run the recording software on a laptop. I was able to complete the task and am awaiting any needed changes.
I recall not feeling overly musical. I had to chill early yesterday. That’s not a common thing for me to do and certainly added to the sense of feeling out of sorts.
I can sum it up in saying I felt out of mind. And thus is the reason for today’s pick with Queensrÿche’s Out Of Mind. It comes from the last Queensryche CD I bought. It also happens to be the last CD where their main writer, or as I feel their main writer, was with the band. Chris DeGarmo had a strong influence on their writing and when he left, the soul seemed to have left with him. From what I understand about Chris around the time he was writing for this CD he was going thru some pretty heavy stuff with his father and his wife. Probably why there’s some dark matter mixed with uplifting matter.
While I can’t relate to having a wife leaving me, I can understand how it could drive you out of mind.
Hopefully your day was much better and not such an out of body experience.
