In the mad throws of getting a library finished it’s not a lot of fun when the main workhorse of a computer starts having issues of crashing. Macs are generally not prone to crashing, however it seems Snow Leopard has been less than a stellar upgrade. I’m reluctant to going back to regular Leopard as I like the fact my recording software works better in Snow Leopard.
Today, this morning, I had four complete crashes of the system. This is right after I did a hardware test overnight to determine if it was the hardware. The test came back clean. Thus it has to be a software issue somewhere. Being that I’ve pretty much relegated the machine to recording, it’s only got the software needed for that. I’m pretty sure that the software I’m running is all supposed to be Snow Leopard compatible. So it’s off to the Apple Genius bar with AppleCare in tow.
It will be interesting to see what they have to say about it.
In the mean time, I’m cloning the drive so that if necessary I can wipe it clean and do fresh installs – I honestly don’t look forward to that even if it has to be done.
I guess I need to get back to my ABC’s. Take a deep breath and release any stress that might be building up. Which leads me to a very funky version of a song about learning ABC’s. I’m not a little kid anymore (I’m a regular kid now), I don’t have kids (not yet anyway), but I’m feeling like this is geared towards adults even though its for kids. It’s slick, it’s funky, it’s sly, it’s got groove, and the melody is moving all over the place. Maybe that’s why it appeals. I’d be prone to dancing my ABC’s if I was little and that may not be a bad thing…
If you got the little ones running around needing to dance and learn, Ms. Janis could be your way to happiness.
