Ah some work coming in today. I’m getting started with recording an acoustic guitar and vocal album for an artist friend of mine. She’s excited. I’m happy as I’ve been figuring out the best route to be recording acoustic guitar. The great thing is, when you have a good situation it makes working more pleasurable.
Thus I gotta get rolling to make sure I get everything setup ahead of time.
The tune for today is: Falling In. It’s one of those songs that I’ve written and recorded that people really tend to love. It has to do with not only the song but also the tone of the guitars and instruments. I’m guessing that at this point I’d record the guitar differently, but I am very happy with how the guitar sounds. As is my endorsement company Taylor. When they heard it, they were like: damn, that’s really amazing.
Of course part of that great sound came from how they churned out their ES system. Something that allows for getting a really great sound from a direct source. It doesn’t hurt that the song has a really cool riff and method to getting played. One of the weirdest comments I’ve gotten is how I could be a victim of my own coolness with how the song is played and how the riff goes. I’m unsure I’d know how I’m a victim of my coolness, but it sounded good.
Enjoy your weekend!
