In case one has recently missed it, Ashton Kutcher had played out a prank on CNN. It was termed the ding-dong ditch. He made good on it the other night and took it a step further. The part about the ditching and such is what led me to post my own little challenge. However, with all the foreigners I know I was beginning to wonder if my idea of a doorbell ditch was too American. It seems in other countries the concept of doorbell or ding-dong ditching is not as slang a term. Instead most other countries, call it for what it is – ringing a doorbell and running away.
I posted that challenge on youtube: Jody’s Twitter Challenge or you can see it right here, right now…
You know you’re doing something right when you get people thinking it’s either funny or extremely uncool. Not sure if there has been middle ground. I’ve already started getting a few new tweeps on Twitter so I’m thinking people want to see it happen.
So in light of the Ashton’s pullover on CNN I’m going with a funky tune by the funk master himself, James Brown. The Spank. If there’s one thing you got watch out for it’s when Ashton will pull the P’nk’d thing. While The Spank has nothing to do with being P’nk’d. It is a slang for it. That’s my connection and I’m sticking to it. Besides, I’m feeling a bit funky right now as I’m sitting in the studio while the PR video for Hero Unexpected is being cut up and edited.
Who else can whip a band in a frenzy along with the crowd? That’s the mastery of James. I never actually saw the man perform live, but I’ve seen tapes and I’ve heard stories. All I can think is, it would have been nice to catch him to learn what it’s like. I will have to live vicariously thru tapes and files.
So go get your funk on and enjoy your day!
