News in the ether is saying that the economy is correcting itself but will still take a lot of time. What have I noticed about all this? First, is that people have actually gotten a little nicer towards each other. Second, I don’t really seem to know people whom have sudden lost everything. I must be in a bubble. Life still carries forward and people still live. That is the real miracle of the world.
In terms of getting or rather closing a deal on something related to business though, I’ve noticed it can take upwards of a year or more. It’s insanity. Some things I’ve been working on for the last 9 months are finally about to see the light of day where the deal is going to be made. And yet, yesterday I made a phone call to a station in New York where they were looking for great music videos to play. I got right thru, the guy watched the video and then requested a copy to air on the next show. Fastest response I think I’ve gotten, ever. So a shout out for Chris Pati and his IndimusicTv.
Today, it’s more emails and phone calls, refreshing memories on deals, and setting up meetings. Whew. It’s a madhouse. Add to it that I’m going to start diving back into learning or rather brushing up on some music ideas that I’ve let go to the wayside since university. It starts getting to be a pretty full set of days. But I don’t mind.
Because more things are starting to come thru on the paying of the scale, I figured it would be fun to roll with a hip hop tune that’s come across my desk that is all about your money. D-Boyz and their tune, It’s Your Money. It’s features one of the big names in Hip Hop right now, Lil Wayne. Though if one of the recent issues of Rolling Stone is correct it may be that Lil Wayne is going to venture into rock. That might prove to be an interesting move. Of course I could parallel that with a few tracks I’m working on, but I’ll keep it hush until they’re done.
In the mean time I’ll leave ya with the head bobbin and foot tapping groove while you sit there singing to yourself about where all your money is. As much as I’m white I’m still enjoying this song. It’s only available on iTunes so go grab it and get out and rotate your tires. Turn it up!
