Finished up a longer than normal drive from Vegas to LA early in the afternoon yesterday. What surprised me was the gas milage I was getting. It was over 28 miles to the gallon. Why is that odd? The recent past had me getting roughly 23 miles to the gallon on average. The car manufacturer states in the manual that it should get a max of 27 mpg. So how did this happen? I don’t know, but I hope it decides to continue.
The real fun was a morning trip to the Apple store to replace yet another iPhone. I’ve been putting off getting it done due to the holidays. Turns out the last iPhone they gave me had issues with the GPS. It couldn’t track me, it couldn’t locate me in the right spot on the globe. After explaining the situation and having the employee try the same things I had already done… He replaced it. I should have done a bit more examination of the iPhone as when I got home I discovered the new iPhone though it worked, had a scratch on the screen and dirt under the glass. Back to the Apple store for a second time in a day. They were going to do a screen replace, but had none. So they replaced the iPhone yet again. Now I’m up to iPhone #7 since June. Wow!! The employee said it was a record to him.
Currently awaiting the iPhone to restore all the software and media at this point. This screen has no scratches. Appears to have no dirt under the glass. So far so good. GPS is tracking the phone, but I’m hoping the compass starts coming in line as it’s showing me as traveling sideways. Good lord. I really hope I don’t need to go in again tomorrow. We’ll see.
I’ve made my business calls. I’m getting caught up on stuff and enjoying the new Netflix account in the background.
Today’s song came across my lappy screen a few weeks ago and I felt it really seemed to make it work for my day. The strange rhythms, the cool sounds, and the flow, it works for me. Plus with the morning I’m having with iPhones… I’m needing a little sympathy for my case today.
Go support these cats. They’re creating some cool new sounds in a direction that feels familiar but is different and cutting edge to me. I like it, you should too.
