News today has soem interesting things to say. Especially when it comes to the world of mobile phones. New study shows that Apple’s iPhone retains 53% of it’s value for resale after 18 months. Additionally it concluded that based on their data the iPhone also has a lower cost of ownership over the life of the phone. That’s pretty amazing when you think about it.
Most people assume that the upfront cost of Apple products is prohibitive. Despite that, over the life of the product it’s actually cheaper. This is an extremely important piece of data that many people tend to forget. Fortunately a lot of people are catching on.
Wouldn’t it be something if music operated the same way?
Today’s artist has an interesting name: I Used To Be A Sparrow. Not sure what exactly that’s supposed to represent. Maybe a former label artist that was soaring and then got clipped? I don’t know. Either way, the band is chasing a fairly current type of pop sound. I’d liken it to a cross of recent Grammy winner Bon Iver and maybe Coldplay.
As you watch the video and listen, enjoy the imagery of the snow in the trees. I know I am. Plus I’m wanting to see more of the white stuff in the trees this coming weekend. Especially before I head out to San Francisco for the GDC (Game Developers Conference).
What’s your day looking like for a Monday? How are you going about finding a lower cost of ownership on things in your life? Life Is Good right?
