Time for a change. A new decade is hear. Sure there are people who would debate that a decade starts at 2011, but that doesn’t make sense from a math standpoint. At least not from a period where we start from zero.
Last night was a cool little hang in Park City at a joint called the Sidecar. Turns out an old friend is managing the place. That made for fun when it came to drinking. A little dancing. A little cheering. A little people watching. It made for a good time. Afterwards I went bar hopping with a friend from high school. Park City wasn’t as crowded as I would have expected it to be.
Today though I’m off to go skiing. A group of friends and I are off to enjoy some snow.
In the meantime, I had a hard time thinking of what would be a good song to kick off the year. I want it to be slamming. Fun of work, fun, money and friends. I’ve yet to make a list of things to accomplish, but I know that some of my list from 2009 is going to come forward.
So I’m picking a song called A New Beginning from Good Charlotte. Strictly because I like the concept of a new beginning and since it’s more than a new year it makes good good sense to me. It’s got a bit of a fair tale intro. I’d even liken it to the intro you hear on Jellyfish’s CD. That’s what we need, a sweet and biting way to get this year started. Enjoy and if you don’t have Good Charlotte as part of your collection, why not?
