If you’re an Apple fan then you know that today Apple spent some time talking about things related to the Mac. What did they do? What will they do? All stuff that nuts like me like to keep on top of. What was announced today… Well an update to the iLife suite for a couple of their programs. A newer iPhoto. That’s the thing I’m most interested in. The update allows for easier photo editing and sharing to places where one shares their photos. There’s also improvements in cards and books. I can definitely see making use of the card stuff this holiday season.
The new iMovie is also pretty hip. Makes me think that I’ve got to finally update my video camera to something a bit more modern. My video camera is a tad old now. But I don’t have the movie bud nearly as much as the picture bug. Though with this update, I really think there’s some cool things that can be achieved.
While the Garageband update is cool for people that aren’t musicians, I don’t see it being for me. I have the pro version of it as it is.
Then of course they talked about the next gen of their operating system for their computers. It’s gonna be a sideways update. I see the path they’re taking and while some of it looks fun. Some of it appears to really only be eye candy that is not more efficient. Can’t win them all.
The one more thing is the new MacBook Air and that is by far the most interesting of the upcoming Mac line. My current lappy is beginning to show the signs of heavy use and a bit of age. While the new Air is not quite as speedy or powerful as my current lappy, the trade off is, will it allow me to run certain software and do it as needed? I will examine that when it comes out. The price is certainly a whole lot better than my current lappy is and the previous price of the Air. What is exciting about it is the size, the weight, the battery life and the speed of how it works from sleep to on states.
Ok, enough about my geeking, lets get to the music.
If you’re listening then chances are if you’re easily offended, then you’ve been offended by now. Otherwise you’re hearing a very raw and political sounding rap influenced song. It’s not following any kind of standard song format. Yet some how it’s got a great flow. Tons of little bits of sound bites and cool drum loops with a nice rhythmic flow. Damn I’ve now used flow a couple of times to describe this song. That’s what it’s got – Flow. I’m diggin it.
Go get it!
