What a strange thing. Have you ever noticed that sometimes you talk about a person you know, but haven’t seen in a while and bingo, they show up. Here I am contemplating whether or not to continue on with Single of the Day as I’m running into all sorts of brickwalls. It’s not fun.
In the past few days I’ve been hearing and seeing friends whom I haven’t seen in a long time, some in years. An ex girlfriend popped online and started chatting to see how things are going. Went drinking with some friends yesterday that I haven’t seen in months. Then today as I’m out in the yard cleaning up and clearing my head, I talked to my neighbor to see if he had a tool I could borrow. Sure enough he did. As we’re talking we chatted about the previous owner of his house and how they had chickens and used to give me fresh eggs.
About an hour later said former neighbor was driving by to see his old house and saw me. What a wacky coincidence. He’s still working in TV and started asking about some music for a new show he’s producing. So we got to talking and catching up on what’s happened since he moved a little while back. He came in to see the studio and sat down to listen to some music. Bingo, he heard something he liked. Asked if I could give him a copy to play for the boss and remarked that he’d like to come use the studio for show stuff. It’s all good until. Not sure how likely it will be, but hey, it was nice to see him and it’s great that he’s doing well.
Anyway, the show concept sounds interesting and I’m not allowed to repeat it. But I did have music that he wants to consider for it. So that’s a plus. We’ll see what happens. One of the things I played for him today was this cue. It fit the marching need he was asking for. Though this is the not cue he asked for. Actually he was really interested in Hero Unexpected. So that’s what he left with. Rather interesting. I’ll hear back from him sometime around tuesday. Seems like everything is revolving around tuesday for me. Very odd.
Anyway, I was asked to create a cue to represent a victorious type of march with a real edge. This is what I had come up with. It’s what Fox Sports wanted for an NFL show, that so far hasn’t been green lighted. Oh well. I’m sure I will find it a home. It’s got a very powerful feel to it. It can work for football, and anything where there’s a bit of aggression and a march feel needed. Don’t you agree. It’s got that going to battle feel, thus why I named it that.
Enjoy, and at some point you should be hearing it as a theme for a show.
