One thing I can tell about food poisoning is that it takes time to get over. It’s also not something that is much fun. Actually, it’s not any fun at all. That’s all I got to say about that.
I’m happy I’m back among the living. I was starving. Hunger. That happens when you’re not able to eat much in the way of food for a few days. Getting dressed was a little strange this morning. I’m a healthy thin guy – it’s all part of that rockstar image. 🙂 However, I’m sure I’ve dropped a few pounds in the past few days that I did not need to drop. I’ll be doing what I can to gobble up some grub in the next couple of days to get back to normal. It all takes time.
Being in the midst of a lots of songs and attempting to juggle them all is like one of those old school balancing acts from the days of like Ed Sullivan or something. You know, where a guy has a like a dozen sticks with plates spinning on each one. Then he has to run around keeping them spinning or they’ll crash to the ground. It’s a matter of time before there’s too many plates spinning and poof some will start going down. Hopefully it will happen before they’re finished.
I’ve been in process with the concept of outsourcing a website to another crew for a concept I’ve had sitting for a while. The deadline was back on February 16th. It’s now April 7th and still it’s not ready. Talk about disappointing. The hilarious thing is that this particular company wanted to win my business for a bunch of other web ideas I’ve got going on. Guess what… they’ve taken so much time and still haven’t finished it, that they won’t get the future contracts on anything.
Time, something we all seem to want more or less of.
Ever heard of Aubrey De Grey? He’s a man working on the ability to live for a period of 1,000 years. His ideas are quite intriguing. The ability for it to happen (and be perfectly healthy for it all) is apparently possible within 25 years according to Aubrey. Before I had heard of this guy, I’ve told people that I plan on making it to 150 years old. Of course being young makes one bold. However, spending time in bed for 3 days ill and watching tons of videos via stumbleupon allows you to come across some pretty wild stuff on the net. Anyway, I’m really intrigued by Aubrey’s revelations and I certainly am one for his success. I’d like to benefit from it. To be able to go well beyond 150 would be an interesting concept. Don’t ya think?
Today’s tune comes from an artist I’ve had here before. Shannon has taken a good step forward from the last song I showcased. I find this song off her new CD to be a really good song. Excellent for all things film and tv. No doubt. It’s got a nice flowing feel. Soothing vocals and an effective drum and piano pattern. The guitar fills in the little spaces in there with a nice couple of riffs from a couple different sounds. I could actually use a little more bass in my head, but there is a such a good vibe going I can forgive it.
I wonder if Shannon would like to live for 1,000 years. Would you like to live that long? I wonder if it’s a creative mind thing? I want to make sure I get all the ideas out of my head. Maybe once I’ve done that I won’t feel as much of a need to continue. Who knows. Maybe that will take 1,000 years to complete. As we all know, it’s a matter of time before everything can be figured out. How much time will it take you to punch the iTunes link above and pick up the song for yourself?
