Last week was definitely a vacation that ended up packing a whole lot of stuff into a short period of time. I’ve read about it on news sites about studies done on the need for a vacation from the vacation. I’m beginning to wonder if I’m in need of that. This weekend won’t see that because I’m working a vast majority of it.
Hot on the heels of signing the paperwork from the deal with a major sports network, I’m finishing up the tracking of a song I co-wrote with an artist who goes by Kavi. It’s morphed from the original direction to now flow into the vein of Natasha Beddingfeld meets Train and N’Sync. We should get a vast majority of the tracks done today, but we also have tomorrow scheduled as well. Then I’m looking forward to making a kick ass dinner and some fun time with Bethany before tomorrow which promises more tracking, a little clean up around the house and a rehearsal with Latisha for her project.
So with that in mind, I need to get to the music.
Because of the frenetic pace I feel like I’m at, actually I don’t feel frenetic, but others around me see it as frenetic. I’m going to run with Ridiculosous. If there’s a group of guys that are creating more frenetic music I’m not sure who it would be. This is a superb collection of songs that all remind me of strange cartoon events. Thus it’s aptly named Electric Cartoon Music From Hell.
Brilliant execution. Outstanding chops. Humor. Smokin production. It’s all in there, on every instrument. Wow.
