Waking up today got me in a good mood. It didn’t hurt that my workout kicked my ass and I enjoyed it. It didn’t hurt that I had emails about possible gigs. It didn’t hurt that my birthday present to myself arrived today.
What was that gift? A gift of custom fit jeans.
You’re probably thinking to yourself: self, why would he get custom made jeans. Well, here’s the answer. I’m tall and slender and it’s f’nin hard to find jeans that will fit properly. I did a little digging around and it turns out that you can order jeans from a few places based on your body’s measurements. So I gave it a shot.
The initial try of putting them on rocked! It was like getting something that fully explains the cliche of “fits like a glove.” They’re extremely comfortable and sit on me exactly the way I would hope jeans should fit. I dig them so much I’m going to be putting in an order for two more in a few weeks. A couple of different styles and types. Time to let go of the jeans I have and make room for some that fit as they should. Will I ever buy jeans in a department store again? I doubt it. The price is not terrible and they’re made to my body? Can’t beat that.
Enough about my jeans. Let’s do some music so I can go make some more of my own.
Today is Endway. The band hails from Boston. An east coast band that is going after the London sound. If there’s an influence you can hear right away it’s Coldplay. While I’m not an enormous Coldplay fan. I will say that this fits them alright. It will be great if they get beyond the obvious influence and make themselves into them. With the song I Would Give Everything, you’re hearing what is likely to be the lowest pitch for vocals in any of the songs I’ve heard. I think that’s why I latched onto it.
I really like the energy that oozes out of the speakers with them. Something we all need, a little more energy. Have a great day!
