One thing that isn’t fun is when you have a meeting for something important and then it ends up getting postponed. It’s especially frustrating when you’ve been working on the material for that meeting for a lengthy amount of time. Such is the case today. I’m finally ready to dot the i’s and cross the t’s on a situation involving my music and my library and then the meeting got postponed.
What did I do, I ended up working on more material that I will add into the library. I know that I’ve got a lot of stuff lying around on hard drives that I’ve yet to formulate and make ready. Like lots of odds and ends. I ended up readying about 6 or 7 pieces of music.
Then there was a lengthy phone call with the person that is going to represent the library to help get it off the ground.
I’ve been told that some thing to do with astrology is saying it’s a not so great time to be doing contracts. I don’t follow that stuff. I wonder if the person at the network does… Go figure.
Maybe there is something to the chart stuff. And since it makes me feel like it’s been born at the wrong time, I’m rolling with a tune by Jimi Hendrix called “Born Under A Bad Sign.” Pretty much says it all right there in terms of the feeling I have about the whole astrology thing.
The meandering vibe and the intense guitar work is the key thing here. Though I will say that the drums have a shining moment as does the bass. The real thing you feel throughout the whole thing is the fact that you can feel and hear the peaks and valleys of what’s going on. That’s something you don’t as much in this era of music we’re in now. So much music is now mixed in such a way that you lose the dynamics of what’s going on. At least we’ve got a history that allows us this kind of gem.
Don’t have Jimi? Why not?
