After careful consideration and a large amount of wasted time on the phone with AT&T I can safely say – AT&T’s attitude stinks. I’ve had numerous phone calls drop on the AT&T network. So I call them to let them know. I’ve spent so much time with them that it’s like I’m beta testing their service. Apple has been more than gracious to replace the iPhone now a 4th time. When the Apple Genius plugged in the phone this morning he commented on the number of dropped calls. Apple has software that can pinpoint everything the phone has gone thru (that’s both fantastic and extremely scary at the same time). My call drop/failure rate is roughly 33%. That’s absurd.
Two days ago AT&T was to have an executive call me back. I got no call. But after nearly 3 hours on the phone today asking for reprovisioning of my account, or at the very least a discount, they attempted to tell me that someone tried to call and left me a voicemail. One, they didn’t attempt to call. There is no missed incoming call from AT&T, and there is no voicemail message from any AT&T person on my phone. I hate when they outright lie right to your face. It’s uncalled for.
At this point AT&T has stated, it’s too bad you’re dropping so many calls, but our service is working as it should and there’s nothing we can do. Additionally, they’re saying we make no guarantees that service will improve so suck it up and take it. What a lousy attitude to have with someone who is paying for top tier unlimited service.
Anyway, I’m in need of getting something to eat after all this time. In keeping with the idea of being fun…
When Logic doesn’t work, try silence followed with reason.
With that, I’ll say enjoy some Blues Saraceno. A former boy wonderkund. He has a song called Stinky Kitty which is probably right along the lines of the attitude from AT&T. So while you’re grooving, remember it’s worth your while to let AT&T know that their service sucks when it’s dropping so many calls and to not take no for an answer when they say otherwise.
