Well, the vacation is now over. It’s time to hit the road and trek back to Los Angeles. Last night I got a phone call about a commercial I’ve been helping write the music for. We’ve had to do roughly three entirely different versions of music. Each time they change their minds and go a completely different direction. Which is a tad frustrating when we’re hitting the mark. What it means is that I need to get back by tonight to finish up yet another version.
Then tomorrow comes a nice meeting for doing trailer scores. That’s one I’m excited about.
Tomorrow evening I’ve got a writing session with a co-writer, want to attempt to get one more song written for the year.
Late last night I went to a new friend’s house in Park City. A friend of hers is now a musician living in New York was there last night. Now you’re listening to her as you read this. She’s feisty. She’s got some fire. And she’s the only musician from the Park City school system (my alma mater) that I actually like the music of. She’s got something going on.
She’s been hooked up with some cool people in the industry. It’s led to the CD that I got last night and the song you’re hearing now. We exchanged some songs last night and it was a mutual appreciation of talent. Which is why I’m putting up Hitchcock in the Afternoon. Rather interesting title. In fact, I’m more interested in watching a few Hitchcock movies today than doing the drive I’m about to partake in.
Oh well. I’ll have a new CD to listen to on the trip, which is a good thing. Show her some love and purchase the music, it’s worth it!
Have a great day.
