What a week. All kinds of crazy.
Friends going thru tough times. Strange musical happenings. So so bizarre.
For me it was a good week of creating music and connecting with people whom I haven’t seen in a while. Setting up more writing appointments and moving onward and upward with the music stuff.
About to be updating the storage of my music collection to full CD quality. I’m about to forget about playing CDs. I buy them for the music. But I won’t digitize them to MP3 anymore. Nope, full CD quality now. This should be the last time I’ll need to do this. That is the plan anyway.
I should be having the phone lines and power outlets updated in the storage closet today or tomorrow. Hence I’ll be able to store all my CDs on shelves out of sight. Then comes the wireless connection to the stereo. At that point the beauty is, no more needing to select CDs, only a matter of choosing music and doing it from anywhere in the house with either a lappy, phone or computer. Love it.
The real fun in going thru the music this way, is seeing some music that I don’t have coming up often on playlists, or a CD that I’ve missed importing at some point. In fact, I’ve already found a CD that I have the case for, but the disc is missing. Bummer. I hate when that happens. The CD? Lenny Kravitz’s 5. The most popular tune on that disc is Fly Away.
Speaking of missing CDs, I suppose I will need to figure out how to replace the disc. Which is why you’re seeing the video you are on the post. I’m rolling with Fly Away as that’s what the disc has appeared to do.
Lenny has a real penchant for writing old school style of music and making it cool. Great singing. Great charisma. Great ‘tude. I would really like to see what it’s like to work with the man in the studio and on the stage. Mostly because I have people thinking I work harder than anyway – which may not be true, but it’s fun to hear.
Enjoy your day!
