One thing I really dig is when I get a good phone call in the morning. Such was the case this morning. I got a call from my new agent asking me questions about possible gigs. That’s the way I want to start off my morning, getting a call asking if I’m capable of certain things and me responding with yes, I can. I was peppered with questions about what I could sing and if I could write in a certain style. I was happy to say yes to that.
Sets a great tone for the day.
I’m also to be in the studio continuing with the production of an album for a fellow artist. We’ve got all the guitars recorded and now it’s time to get the vocals whipped up and on to the computer to get the songs completed. She’s doing a fine job of getting her thing together.
I’m gonna sit here and say that it’s great today. Which leads me to pushing a song here called You’re Great. Why not? I’m feeling good and groovy. I’m liking the reggae style going on. Very laid back, very groovy. The message is a good positive message to. Where the singer is building up the person he’s singing too. That’s a really great thing to do. Make the person feel good/great about themselves.
The chorus pumps it up a bit and then it backs off when it comes into the next verse. Keeps the song chuggin along.
With a name like Roast Beef Curtains it’s a little nefarious to know what to expect. The implication of the term represents a slang of female anatomy. It is funny, but at the same time, it could be downright dirty depending on how they want to take it. Seems they opted for the funny. That’s a good thing.
