As the boss of a new venture it’s a tad annoying attempting to schedule a group of people together when they’re all testing the waters on working for you. Seems the last several times I’ve scheduled a meeting has resulted in last minute changes. This ends up throwing everyone else for a loop and then usually requires another day or two to change and find everyone a time. It will be a fantastic day when I’ve got the venture flying and can say, if you can’t make the meeting, it’s time for you to go work for someone else. Actually, I probably need to do that as it is now. But so far it’s only been one time from each person.
I guess what I’m looking for is people who can move me and I can move them to greatness. I’ve been told I’m inspiring. Hell even with this new venture I’ve been told I’m doing something right with the terms of the agreements with other artists as it is. Coming from industry insiders it’s a great feeling. Doesn’t make it any easier yet.
Because the concept of music should be something that moves you, I’m going with King’s X and their tune Move Me. It works for me in more ways than one today. The whole idea of moving schedules around feels a bit like meandering. That seems counterintuitive to wanting to get something specific done. Tomorrow I want to set goals and hopefully it will result in some action finally happening. I’m sure King’s X sets goals for themselves. How else would they end up writing and creating so much music and touring so much as well.
I really dig their musical sensibility. If you’re a regular reader of Single of the Day you’d probably know that. I can’t help it. They rock.
