It was a fairly productive weekend. The issue of making use of the laptop as an amp by using software simulation got further reinforced last night when I used it for a rehearsal for a new band. It worked great, but I know that I do need to spend time, more time, in working with the software to get it honed in to my taste for great sound.
On a more personal level, I’m sitting here mulling over the future plans of where I’m heading and who I want to be heading there with. Sadly I’m having to sit and wait on some of those plans to figure out where they’re at. That’s a real hard spot to sit in. I’m like a lot of people. I hate not knowing.
Sometimes you’re moving along and all of a sudden, boom, all your movements end up going down the drain. Which leads me into today’s musical choice by Alexis Foxe. It’s called Down the Drain and it’s a super slinky track that pumps a movement into me. It’s got a really cool old school mixed with modern vibe. Think a slight burlesque stirred with the 30’s jazz and bit of dance pop.
There’s such a fun bouncy vibe with clever lyrics that I had to feature this despite the fact that it’s not on iTunes yet. Not sure why she’s promoting it prior to a release like this. But keep an eye out for Alexis Foxe. Fingers crossed that Alexis’ career doesn’t go down the drain.
