Bam!
I saw a movie last night that really was exciting. While there’s really no such thing as a totally original idea anymore, there are very new ways to tell old stories. Jumper is just such a movie. I caught trailers for the movie online a few months ago. I really liked the trailer. Often it’s tough to tell from the trailer if you’ve already seen all the best parts of the movie.
Without being too much of a movie review I will say the story did take a good 20 minutes to really get rolling, but once it got rolling. Bam! It really got rolling. Directed by Doug Liman, the mind behind The Bourne Identity (Paul Greengrass took over for the other two Bourne movies), it’s easy to tell that it has a very similar movement to get rolling. The Bourne Identity was much the same way, started a tad slow but once it got rolling, it really got rolling and rolling good. My take on it is, if you really like the idea of being able to go anywhere in the world you can think of at a moments notice, and do it instantly; then go see this movie. It’s got the goods for being entertaining.
Because I was so amped from the movie I saw there through the credits to take it all in. Huge list of peoples names by the way. The song you’re watching/listening to right now is the song that was rolling over end credits. I really dug the piano in the song. I mean, really dug it. The mix you’re hearing from this video must be a different mix from the movie soundtrack. The vibe is still there, only the piano isn’t as prominent.
I don’t know much about the Charlatans, But I will say, they’ve got a new fan in me. Do they have a new fan in you?
If you want another good movie with a good Charlatans song on it check out Toothache from The Jackal soundtrack. This is what put them on my radar.
