Groups. People clusters.
It happens. People like to mass together, or get together. Gravitate towards like minds. Though sometimes it’s polar opposites, cause supposedly opposites attract. It’s not a 100% guarantee that any union will remain together. It happens. It’s life. The way it is. Right?
Surely that never makes it feel good when things fall apart. “Oh, it’s just life.” As if that would make it all better. Time, that is what makes things better or worse. The will to adapt. Eventually it moves on. I think we can all relate to falling to pieces though. In some way shape or form. There’s always one event in your life that could have gone so much better, or differently and everything would have been bob’s your uncle.
Think about it for a moment. Comment here with an episode from you life that gave you the feeling of falling to pieces. It’s cathartic to share. I’ll start you off. Here’s one event that would have been nice to have gone differently for me. I was dating a girl at university. Gasp. We were best of friends. There was one time we were hanging out where the world would have taken a different turn. Unfortunately for me I didn’t read the moment correctly. From there it fell apart. We shifted to being only friends. Then it thoroughly deteriorated. I bumped into her sometime later. I was cordial, said hi, then walked away. I heard my name being screamed by some guy. I turned around to see some guy telling me in no uncertain terms to stay away from her or I’d be dead. I looked at him, I shrugged my shoulders, turned around and kept walking. I knew right then and there that I would be a yardstick for all the guys in her life and he knew it.
One moment that causes things to fall to pieces.
That’s the story behind today’s song by Dominic. Well, not my story that I typed a moment ago, but the idea of two people together. One who can’t live without the other. There’s a lot of movies, TV shows and other stories based on this. It’s a human thing. We all get feelings like this right?
Musically, I hear this being great for a soundtrack tune. Something like a movie along the lines of Hitch or Something About Mary, Sweet Home Alabama. Some romantic comedy. It’s got a great blend. Easy to listen to. Dominic’s voice is smooth and fits the music like a glove. Thus he’s not falling to pieces here. In that respect, I’m wondering if he’s had any placements yet. If not, I wonder why.
If you’re interested in having Dominic performing this song and others from his CD in your house, you can! Don’t let the moment go. Dominic is a member of concertsinyourhome.com. Yes, he’s part of the house concert circuit. I can’t imagine why you’d let an opportunity like that go by. Show him love. Purchase the song, have him come play a concert. Add him to your stable of music.
Wow, Dominic has come a long ways…. This young man is our future and his heart is in the right place !

I agree with ya. He’s certainly got a future if he can deal with the business.
This song touched my heart. That’s one of the greatest things about Dominic’s music; it captures timeless, universal truths that we all can relate to.
