Just when I thought Heroes had been jumping the shark it finally veered around and saved itself. It’s unfortunate there’s been a writers strike that will end this mid-season. I fully support their plight though. They’re going through the same thing the music industry has been going through for the past several years. It’s starting to affect TV, Videos, and Films thanks to the slow gains in speed of the net. Unfortunately the big studios aren’t paying attention. They could have learned from the mistakes of the music industry like they have in the past. Alas, it’s not a lesson they’re bothering to learn.
Could it be the reason that historians are usually quoted as saying history is doomed to repeat itself?
Do people really wonder why it’s important for writers/artists/musicians to get a royalty? A fair royalty for life?
Oh Heroes. Finally some twists from last night’s episode that gave the show new life. I’m actually excited about this Adam guy and what he can help Peter to become. How did I get so hooked on that show?
Since it’s become a festival of living and dying on Heroes I couldn’t think of a better song to go with it than Live And Let Die. Not only is it perfect for covert stuff like this, it was also the best Bond theme song of all time. No other Bond theme comes close to the sheer balls of this song. Of course it’s penned by one of the most brilliant pop minds ever. I also like the fact that it’s extremely memorable and totally outside of a normal pop song structure yet still feels like it works as a pop song. There isn’t enough great things to say about it, so I’ll stop now.
(** Disclaimer: If Sir Paul’s label decides I should die, then I’ll have to pull a Haitian move on the audio. The post will remain to show my support for other artists. p.s. I know it’s a recent repeat. **)
