With Christmas around the corner, it’s going to be time to start hearing that annual rendition of Scrooge and his three unsightly visitors. So today I’m dedicating a post early to ghosts! Boo!
I’m still feeling like I’ve got a ghost in my back this morning, but I’m able to breath and move, so that’s a good thing. Oh the irony as my dad was here two days ago and he’s telling his girlfriend on the phone how healthy I look.
Last night I got to go to a friends house in the hills of Hollywood. It’s an amazing house on the top of the hill that overlooks the entire Los Angeles area looking westerly. A few of us were invited over for an amazing meal. One of those meals that takes several hours to eat with several courses. Absolutely awesome. To top if off we had a blast playing PRG4 on the X-Box on a big screen. It’s PRG4 right? Fun, fun, fun.
The things people discuss when drinking and sitting around. Of all things a huge debate on the bigger male fantasy: Jason Bourne or James Bond. The majority of the people involved voted for Jason Bourne, myself included. What’s your vote.
Hmmm, not very ghostly so far. Other than, at this point I don’t believe I’m going to be wishing I didn’t spend time with friends. Now for your vote on some music. Today’s artist is firmly rooted in a fairly modern uptempo vibe here. I’m needing that driving beat to get me going. Check. I’m diggin’ the crazy guitar effect in the verse. Check. Added riffs in the chorus. Check.
That’s two songs in the past several days where the effects were pretty cool. Is there some trend I’m not aware of? Nah. I can remember a Dweezil Zappa tune or two that makes use of it too. It’s still cool when it’s used effectively. Looks like I didn’t really speak much about Ghosts. I suppose I’ll have to leave that to Daniel and his Future Ghosts. Wait. Aren’t we all future ghosts?
