Nothing like coming off an early cold in the season and waking up a little dizzy. What the hell is that? The plus side is that the stuffiness is nearly gone. One last day of dealing with a simple cold is fine with me. The happier part is that it was less than a week and I didn’t use an over-the-counter drug to deal with it. The old fashioned get some rest and drink lots of fluids worked very well and I’m betting it won’t linger like a cold/flu would normally do if one were to take an OTC and attempt to continue interacting with the world and spreading the disease.
The only truly weird thing is that I can smell the off smell of being ill lingering. Anyone out there know what I’m talking about? Where you can smell the cold or flu that you might have? There’s a distinct oder that I can smell when it’s either coming on, or going away.
Fortunately it’s on it’s way to gone today. Back to the I’m Jody Whitesides and I work out tomorrow.
Let’s get to some music. For the past couple of days higher pitches had been pretty irritating on my hearing. So the welcome back should be something a bit more mellow. I’m rolling with Eric Garcia’s Peace From Within. It’s a nice little acoustic tune that reminds a bit of something that might have been written by Paul Simon.
I really enjoy the movement and the simplicity in the playing. It’s nice way for me to get a Single of the Day post back up and running.
