There are moments when the world appears to be righting itself. I’m feeling like that is the case right now. Positive things are happening. Mind you, I’m not oblivious to the natural destruction that happened in Japan recently. While it’s tragic and terrible, it doesn’t mean the world isn’t correcting itself.
I had a fun time yesterday getting a bunch of projects completed or very near completed. Then it was off to the beach of Hermosa to hang with some friends for some drinking festivities. I don’t do a ton of drinking, so this was the first time heading out for beers since late last year. The best thing is, drinking quality and not quantity means I woke up feeling fine. That’s a good thing.
I’ll be working on finishing up another cue this morning, then I’ll be starting yet another hybrid rock orchestral thing later this afternoon. It’s a good thing to have work rolling in.
I was sent a song this morning by a co-writer and friend of mine. A song he recently wrote this last week and wanted my opinion. I really wish I could put the song up here on the blog. It’s very catchy and it’s got a great hook. If it gets to the artist it’s intended for, I do believe he’s got a hit on his hands. That’s a great thing.
For me this morning it was the simple sunrise. Being in California tends to do that for people. Make them happy with the sunrise. Go figure. The song I’m rolling with is a tune by a friend of mine Daniel Ho. A very sweet and gentle man. Every time I see him he has a smile on his face and he’s always cheery. It’s almost scary, but the reality is, he really exudes that cheer so it’s contagious.
Enjoy the sounds of this multi Grammy winner and have a great day!
