So what happened last week? That’s what you might be asking as it pertains to the fact that I had a bunch of days in a row that had monikers of “Legal Wobble”.
To start, I’m in a battle right now that is over my house. I’ve probably mentioned it before here on Single of the Day. If I haven’t, then it’s probably because it’s not something I’m fully wanting to share with the world at large. The short of it is, I’m in a federal lawsuit about my house.
To compound the problem, I got roused by the LA Sheriff’s Department. Illegally. Let’s just say they ignored a federal court document. And that’s about all I’m going to put out about it right now.
While the storm is going on around me, I’ve been working on finishing music, getting mixes on new songs I’ve been producing, writing lyrics, and for today I’ll be working on the sound/music for a film trailer. It’s a bizarre time. Career climbing and mired in legal garbage at the same time. Oh the joy.
I’ve come up with a song that I’ll likely do an acoustic thing of and post on YouTube in the not so distant future. Something to which I’m sure a lot of people will be able to relate to. When I do, I’ll announce it and you can go watch it.
For today I’m rolling with a tune by a former band called Badlands. The song is called Soul Stealer. It’s classic hard rock. Pure and simple. The vibe of the song has a good slink to it. The title is what I’m after. The legal stuff literally sucks the life out of you. Pure and simple. I can’t wait until it’s over – we’ve got the proof that is on my side that should prevail.
