The extra portion to having the floors refinished was having the baseboards redone and painting. The floors are finally finished and the baseboards have been done. Two rooms and the hallway have been painted. Next stop will be the window that has fallen apart. Once that is removed and walled in the living room will have it’s paint updated.
Later today I’ll be running my library out to a trailer house to update files. Then it’s off to lunch with a buddy, followed by a screening of a movie called Winter Bone.
I’ve got to get a bunch of editing to go before I take those files in. Thus I’m leaving you with the tune for today…
Since it’s windy and the temp has been dropping, I figure it’s a good time for Mr. Stevie Ray Vaughn. His song Cold Shot is the order of the day. If there is one thing to say about Stevie, it’s that the man lived and breathed music, especially blues, better than most of us will ever do. He had such swagger that can only come from truly living the life he led.
Many guitarists attempt to capture his vibe, his soul, few if any can ever do it. He had such charisma and style that it really was only him that could do it. That’s the sign of a true stylistic genius.
Nuff said.
