The first adventure for the date to get out and vote. Right after breakfast I’ll be heading out to the poll station and be casting my vote for the people and issues I’ve researched. I urge you to do the same. Power to the people.
While working in the studio yesterday I started checking out what I thought was a movie on Netflix. What the ‘movie’ ended up being was the show Out of the Wild: The Alaska Experiment. Turns out it’s a TV show that ran on the Discovery Channel about a group of inexperienced people who were given a couple of days of survival training then dumped off in the middle of nowhere in Alaska in hopes they’d survive and get out.
The real enjoyment of the show is not the reality aspect of it. Mostly because there’s no such thing as reality in reality TV. No the enjoyment is to see which people would actually brave the elements the most and the sheer scenery of the Alaskan nature. There is beautiful country up there and it’s no wonder why people want to go explore it and brave it. There’s a true test of human will if you can survive there.
For music, I’ve got another adventure coming up. I’ve written some children’s music in the past with a few co-writers, but now it appears that I’ll be converting some classic songs into lullabies. I’ve created one so far and it was good enough for the A&R guy to say that it’s worth discussing my payment request. That’s music to my ears. Should be a fun adventure – I’ll speak more of it, should it be completed.
Speaking of rock songs, I’ve got a song that you’re likely hearing right now if you’re on Single of the Day. Lonely Hearts Are Wild is by a band called Strange Young Things. Simple. Simple chords. Simple lead. Simple melody. Simple and good. This harks back to the original concept of rock ‘n’ roll don’t it? It’s not the most polished thing. Ain’t meant to be. Straight up, rock out. Simple.
Simply go get it and rock to your heart’s content.
