Today is a full day of music and studio time. I’ve got a rehearsal for vocal session happening on Thursday. Gotta love being hired to sing on a video game and be requested by name. Makes a musician feel good.
Then it’s lunch with a co-writer to discuss some of the past work done and what’s coming up on the future.
After that it’s into the studio to start sorting the archives and then finish a lullaby on a tune.
On to the music for today…
The choice for today is Lord T & Eloise and their song Cha Ching. It took a moment for me to get into the track but once it began to get into the verses I started to get it. The songs are cool once they get past the intros. I’m interested in hearing what they’ll be like once they’re able to create more hooky intros. That could be the thing that would give them the push over cliff they need to be defining a new genre as they’re working on doing now. It’s called Aristocrunk.
As you’re hearing this you can call there’s some elements of rap and hip hop, but it mixed with tracks that are a bit more elegant than you’d normally hear for rap or hip hop. Which is why I think the term they’ve got called Aristocrunk is very fitting. Don’t you agree?
Enjoy the song and hope that it hits iTunes soon. I didn’t do my due diligence prior to writing the post to see if it was available anywhere yet. Ooops.
