There are times when you think everything is going just as you envisioned, a wrench get thrown into the works. Right now I’m running full steam on some things and then a special person in my life has suddenly switched off. It’s odd when I felt like I was approaching things in a special manner. Now I’m spinning wheels attempting to understand what the hell happened and why it has changed.
In the meantime I’ve been pushing as hard as I can to fix things that went wrong a couple of years ago. I’m finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel in the turnaround. Also, the music for the library of music I have has been shipped off to a couple of major sources that are going to be the lifeblood of it. A good thing. There’s still a bit more to be done finishing up stuff on it, but it’s almost completed as well.
I spent a couple of days registering several hundred tracks of music that I had completed in the past 6 months or so. That’s a damn lot of music. I’m very happy that the library of congress allows for uploading electronic versions of everything. Very slick, very easy, and very handy. Saves a lot of time and money.
Because of the thing going on with someone that has cracked my shell, I’m running with a song called You and Me by Jason Poe. It’s a spritely little ditty that has a very catchy chorus. It doesn’t hurt that it’s about two people and the things going on between them.
I really dig how it picks up in the chorus, the drive of the song or rather the engine is really in it. Not the the lead up into the chorus isn’t good, because it is. That chorus really hits the point home. A true sign of a kick ass song is if the chorus can really nail the point home.
It also helps that more than the skipping drum beat and piano happen. A slew of instrumentation slides in there to help propel the thing. Make sure you look him up, I would expect more great things to come with Jason.
Thanks so much for he kind review. I’m glad you like the song!
