Yesterday was the actual 4th of July, the celebrated date of birth for the republic of America. What would it be like to have a time machine and go back to that faithful day in 1776 and see what really went down? Who knows. Maybe Doc and McFly will tell us, or at least two people like them may find out.
For me I ended up spending the day with friends and my doggie at an all day BBQ. A little less intense than yesterday. Though, I’m now 2 for 5 FMLY rides where I’ve crashed and injured myself. Though last night it was something dumb. I attempted to ride my bike while steering with my stomach and arms open wide. Took a turn off the sidewalk and crashed into the street. Oops.
A day late, but not forgotten as the independence day is observed today. I’m rolling with the song Independence Day by Martina McBride. What better to wish a day to the country but a country song in and of itself. Ha ha ha. Of course the song isn’t really about the independence of a country, no, it’s about a girl taking her life into her own life and getting away from someone who wasn’t good for her. But then that was the idea of the republic when it wanted it’s independence from a country that controlled it without and representation. Never a bad idea to take matters into your own hands.
Hope your independence celebrations are awesome.
