In case you’re under a rock, Apple announced the next iPhone yesterday. Generally I like to spend the time to follow the keynote speech at the WWDC. Been doing it for a few years now. It used to be that Apple would constantly announce their new updates to the computer lines. Now they only tend to focus on the iDevices. Rather disappointing in a way. I love seeing new tech, unfortunately with the concept of phones, changing them out each year would be awesome if the carriers would allow us to do it without penalty.
Speaking of which, I sent off a rather long letter to the CEO of AT&T. I’m not fond of FUD, but it seems that with the announcement of their ‘new’ data plans it’s a requirement for those of us with unlimited service to relinquish that unlimitedness if we wish to upgrade to a new iPhone, and/or if we to get tethering. While I can’t condone going against the law with Jailbreaking, I can see the allure of it. While a lot of what could be done with jailbreaking is now going to be in iOS 4, the last thing left it seems is tethering.
***** as a side note: I wrote a letter to the CEO of AT&T today about the idea of tethering, the new data plans, dropped calls, and such. It will be interesting to see if I get any response. Stay tuned. *****
I will say that I’m looking forward to iOS 4.
As the iPhone moves forward, I see it as a lot of people do, Getting Better. Which leads me to today’s song called Get Better. While the song is about a girl who likes a guy and wants the relationship to get better… I’m sure that’s how a whole lot of us are feeling about the iPhone. Especially those of us tied to AT&T.
The song itself is a fun little trip into the world of modern R ‘n’ B. It’s a bit of mix with Dance. I’m getting a vibe of peeps like Ne-Yo and Maxwell. While I’m not a massive fan of autotuning vocals to death it seems to be the norm for music like this. Nando has an over the top velvet going on to the lilt of his voice. It think it’s working well for him. Don’t ya think?
Go check him out!
