Last night was the show I had been working up to earlier in the week. It went pretty darn smoothly. I can’t complain. The band had a great time. I had a great time. While I couldn’t really hear a thing on stage other than the drums, the sound in the room apparently was amazing. That’s a good thing to hear. Especially when you have a room full of music execs for licensing milling about asking who you are because they really liked your performance. In all, I call it a success.
The final act of the night last night was the infamous George Lynch. He’s known as a bit of a shredder guitarist from the late 80’s. If there’s one thing I can say, he’s a nice guy and he likes to play damn loud! I walked out of the venue removed my ear plugs and still felt like I was going deaf. Yikes! But he rocked.
Since I was witnessing George, I’m gonna roll with a tune by his solo band Lynch Mob. I almost ran up on the stage to start singing this song as he was playing it instrumentally as a three piece. This is one of those songs that has a definite high energy feel. It still have a fun feel with him performing instrumentally but I really did miss Oni’s vocals.
If you can’t guess what the wicked sensation is, you ought to get out a little more often. Or maybe it’s something that happens late after the sun goes down for musicians. Either way, enjoy the music and go explore the rest of the album. You’ll enjoy it.
