Getting a slightly slow start this morning. But it started off with a call that didn’t leave me with good news. Something that I’ve been working on for about a year now has now fell apart for the about the 4th time in a year and this time it’s not good. The person involved has been fired and took off with all the files and left everyone in the lurch. Which includes me.
Fortunately, I was provided another route to take a couple of weeks ago. The only drag is, I’m out money with the other clown who got fired. I have a contract that states a refund upon failure, but I’m betting due to his firing, he won’t honor it. That makes me say UGH.
Which brings me to a tune where I’m more concerned about the title and the vibe. Sour Girl by the Stone Temple Pilots. It’s obvious that the guy involved that got fired is sour. He’s been hard to get a hold of and has been jerking a lot of people around as far I can gather. So couple that with the vibe of the song which has a bit of a somber tone mixed with a listless air about it really speaks of the feeling I got from that phone call. It’s not something that excites me.
Of course I can’t deny the fact that STP was a major band. They had some great songs and helped fire an entire genre of music until they broke into their own mold.
May your day have better news and vibes. I’m already turning mine around by working on a cue for a game.
