Last night I capped off my day with a friendly game of poker at a friend’s house. During the party we watched The Day the Earth Stood Still, both the original and the remake. Then he put on Iron Man for a little bit. I did leave with more money than I came with. That’s a good thing.
I’m nearly finished with the project of typing in 100’s of songs of lyrics for tunes I have written though never finished. My purpose on it is to have a way to pilfer for future songs from things I’ve already done but have not used. I should be able to finish it up today.
Tomorrow marks a project of recording for a friend of mine who has come to me to create a great acoustic album. It’s an exciting project for me as I’m putting some new techniques to work.
Tonight though I will be joining millions of others in seeing the new Iron Man movie. Yes, I’m hooked. The previous one was by far the best superhero movie ever. Yes, I’m disappointed that my tune Hero Unexpected didn’t make it into the movie – it wasn’t for a lack of multiple avenues and attempts.
So I’m gonna roll with the historical song called Iron Man by Black Sabbath. Black Sabbath is essentially the origin of heavy metal. Tommi and Ozzy. Two peas in a pod. Heavy riffs and nasally vocals.
